Health, Safety and Environment (HSE)

At CGC, we have developed a Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Policy that sets high standards and promotes best practices across our operations. This policy underscores our commitment to environmental stewardship and the protection of the health and well-being of our team members, contractors, and all individuals and organizations connected to the company’s activities. Our HSE Policy is built upon four key pillars:

We prioritize safety and sustainability in all our operations. We identify hazards and assess risks to prevent harm to people, facilities, the community, and the environment, implementing strict controls to ensure business continuity. We ensure a safe work environment through ongoing training programs and promote road safety by keeping our fleet and access roads in optimal condition. We prepare for emergencies with drills and appropriate resources. We also promote the circular economy by minimizing waste and maximizing reuse and recycling.
At CGC, no activity is so important that it cannot be carried out safely—this reflects our strong commitment to a solid Safety Culture.

We identify, assess, and comply with all applicable laws and regulations related to Health, Safety, and Environment, as well as with any voluntary commitments undertaken by the company.

We have a strategic Health, Safety and Environment plan that sets clear objectives and responsibilities across the entire company. All undesired events are investigated and reported to prevent recurrence, with active leadership from senior management and responsible conduct from our team members and suppliers. We empower our teams and partners to stop any task that poses intolerable risks, and we prioritize environmental protection through the responsible use of resources, the preservation of biodiversity, and a climate action plan aimed at reducing emissions. We promote circular economy principles and maintain open, ongoing communication with our stakeholders.

We regularly monitor the performance and effectiveness of our HSE management system, striving for continuous improvement through key performance indicators, which are periodically benchmarked against IOGP publications.

Life-Saving Rules

As part of our commitment to strengthening a safety-driven culture, CGC adheres to and implements the «Nine Life-Saving Rules,» a global initiative promoted by the International Association of Oil & Gas Producers (IOGP).

These Life-Saving Rules must be applied across all operational activities within our company, with the goal of proactively addressing any situation that may pose a risk to the safety of our team members.
