Upstream

Our operations also extend to offshore development. We participate in blocks AUS-105 and AUS-106, located off the coast of Tierra del Fuego, in partnership with Equinor (operator) and YPF, reinforcing our commitment to the exploration and development of the country’s energy resources.

In 2024, we completed the first unconventional horizontal well in the Palermo Aike formation in the Austral Basin, marking a technical and operational milestone in the search for new resources.

In April 2025, we entered into a temporary joint venture (UTE) with YPF as a non-operating partner for the development of the Aguada del Chañar block, located in the Vaca Muerta formation, reaffirming our strategic vision to expand in the unconventional resources segment.

We operate an extensive infrastructure network in the Austral and San Jorge Gulf basins, including oil and gas treatment plants, gathering systems, and over 1,300 km of interconnection pipelines. We manage key storage and loading facilities at Puerto Punta Loyola, with a nominal crude oil storage capacity of 140,000 m³. Additionally, we operate a jetty at Punta Loyola seaport and hold an equity interest in TERMAP’s port terminals located in Caleta Olivia and Caleta Córdova, facilitating access to both domestic and international oil markets.

In 2015, we achieved ISO 14001 certification for power generation using field gas with high carbon dioxide content and for the transmission of that electric power at medium voltage to the National Interconnected System. In 2018, we obtained recertification under the ISO 14001:2015 standard. In November 2024, a new external audit confirmed the certification’s validity for an additional three years. This certification ensures the optimization of the company’s environmental management by reducing the negative impacts of its activities and promoting continuous improvement.

Compliance with this standard enables us to enhance our performance, driven by a strong commitment to sustainability and ongoing progress.

At CGC, we operate under a quality management system that ensures the reliability of our laboratories. Since 2010, we have complied with legal standards for the commercialization of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), and over time, we have expanded our scope to include testing of natural gas and crude oil—always in line with current regulations and our customers’ needs. In November 2024, we carried out an external follow-up audit and requested an extension of our certification scope to include the physicochemical quality monitoring of formation water, a key service for the drilling, production, processing, and reservoir sectors. Having a quality management system allows us to apply unified criteria and standardized methodologies, ensuring that every result is traceable, controlled, and reliable. This enables us to deliver accurate analyses and provide our clients with the assurance that every result meets the highest quality standards.
